Tom worked as a site based architect on the London 2012 Olympic Stadium for over two years, from when the foundations where cast until to practical completion. Witnessing a vast area of wasteland become transformed into the main Olympic site, emerging from the ground on a daily basis.

As well as being involved in a number of aspects of the detailed design, he acted as external works design package leader for the project.
